Competition Divisions
- Novice
- Intermediate
- Pro or Open
Competitors can compete in a division until they win 1st place in an IDDC sponsored event. Events include Freestyle, Toss and Fetch and Overall Points Championships. Competitors can stay in that same division until the following calendar year, then they must move up to the next division. Divisions are based on the handler, regardless of the dog they are competing with.
If room permits, handlers can audit a lower division with a new dog but they will not be eligible for any placement or awards in that event.
